Limerick Lane -1023 Limerick Ln, Healdsburg, (707) 433-9211 – Limerick Lane is very close by – if you turn right on Los Amigos from Milk Barn Road, and then turn right on Limerick Lane it’s about ½ mile down the road on the left. Limerick Lane Cellars is a wonderful experience that will allow you to taste world-class Zinfandel and Rhone-style wines from a historic estate in the Russian River Valley. You can enjoy a seated wine tasting in their scenic tasting room or outdoors among the century-old vineyards that produced the wines. Some of the vines are over 110 years old and still producing amazing fruit.

Aperture Cellars - 12291 Old Redwood Hwy, Healdsburg, (707) 200-7891 – Aperture is just across 101 from our house along Old Redwood Highway. Visiting Aperture Cellars is a wonderful experience that will allow you to taste expressive and elegant wines from Sonoma County’s premier cool-climate Bordeaux varietal vineyard sites. You can enjoy a seated wine tasting in their scenic tasting room or outdoors among the historic Healdsburg vineyard. You can also admire the stunning architecture of the Aperture gallery hospitality lounge, which is inspired by the photography of Andy Katz, the father of winemaker Jesse Katz. The building features a curved roof, a glass facade, and a natural stone wall that create a harmonious blend of art and nature.

Dry Creek Valley

Located to the West and North of downtown Healdsburg, Dry Creek Valley is renowned for its outstanding Zinfandels. Dry Creek Valley is one of the oldest wine regions in California, settled just after the California Gold Rush of 1849.

Ridge - 650 Lytton Springs Rd, Healdsburg, (707) 433-7721 – Ridge is celebrated for its exceptional Cabernet Sauvignons (in particular, its iconic Ridge Monte Bello), Zinfandels, and Chardonnays. The winery has a rich history dating back to the late 19th century and is recognized for its commitment to sustainable and organic practices – indeed the Lytton Springs winery is built of hay bales and vineyard clay. A gorgeous spot for outdoor tasting.

A. Rafanelli - 4685 W Dry Creek Rd, Healdsburg, (707) 433-1385 - Established in the early 1900s by Italian immigrant Pietro Rafanelli, Rafanelli Winery has been family-owned and operated for generations. It is known for producing high-quality Cabernet, Merlot, and Zinfandel. Tastings are typically offered either in their barrel room our outdoors in their lovely garden.

Talty - 7127 Dry Creek Rd, Healdsburg, (707) 433-8438 - Talty Winery is a small production winery specializing in the highest quality Zinfandels in Dry Creek Valley. Talty Winery produces around 1,300 cases of handcrafted Zinfandels from some of the finest dry farmed and head-trained vineyards in Sonoma and Napa Counties.

Zichichi - 8626 W Dry Creek Rd, Healdsburg, (707) 433-4410 - founded in 2000, this family owned and operated winery is in the heart of zinfandel country in Dry Creek Valley. They produce extraordinary full-bodied wines from 100% handpicked estate grown grapes. Visits typically include barrel tastings of rich Zinfandels and Petite Sirahs. Tastings are also held on their deck with a gorgeous view of the vineyards along the Dry Creek Valley floor.

Russian River Valley

Our home is actually at the very far east end of the Russian River Valley AVA, which is known for extraordinary Chardonnay and Pinot Noir produced in cooler parts of the area to our west.

Merry Edwards - 2959 Gravenstein Hwy N, Sebastopol, (888) 388-9050 - Merry Edwards Winery was founded in 1997 by one of California's first highly successful woman winemakers. They produce critically acclaimed, terroir-driven, single-vineyard Pinot Noirs from 80 acres of estate vineyards in the Russian River Valley as well as three appellation blends - Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir and Russian River Valley Sauvignon Blanc (which is perhaps our favorite white wine in the world!).

Rochioli - 6192 Westside Rd, Healdsburg, (707) 433-2305 – With three generations of dedication to the land, Rochioli Vineyards and Winery has earned the reputation as one of Sonoma County's finest wineries. Rochioli is situated just ten minutes drive south of Healdsburg. Their tasting room overlooks the Russian River Valley floor where you can see their Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Old Vine Sauvignon Blanc vineyards. To the right you can catch a glimpse of the fabled West Block Pinot Noir vineyard. Rochioli is known for its exceptional Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. Their patio offers a gorgeous spot for outdoor tasting.

Marimar Estate - 11400 Graton Rd, Sebastopol, (707) 823-4365 - Marimar Estate Winery is a family-owned winery founded by Marimar Torres, a member of the Torres wine dynasty in Spain, who brought her Spanish heritage and passion for winemaking to California. , The winery specializes in producing premium Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines. The estate is known for its commitment to sustainable and organic farming practices, as well as its beautiful vineyard setting and Spanish-inspired architecture.

Alexander Valley

Situated North and East of downtown Healdsburg, Alexander Valley is the hottest appellation in Sonoma County, meaning one thing: Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Sauvignon dominates the Alexander Valley AVA with over 50% of the vines planted being Cabernet Sauvignon.

Robert Young Estate Winery - 5102 Red Winery Rd, Geyserville, (707) 431-4811 - Family owned, farmed and operated since 1858, the Robert Young Estate Winery has recently opened the Scion House, their new hospitality and tasting center on their 448 acre ranch, 10 minutes north of Healdsburg in the Alexander Valley. The new building is built on the family's favorite hilltop overlook with stunning 360-degree vineyard views. Both elegant and inviting, the Scion House offers guests a serene retreat where they can relax in one of several open and private indoor areas for seated tastings and wine experiences including tastings of their exceptional Cabernet Sauvignons, Merlots, and Chardonnays.
